Connecting to a Server

You have four options:

1. Check this guide to host your own Mumble Server.
2. Find a free-to-use server on the Internet Browser in Mumble Client.
3. Buy your own Mumble Server from a Hosting Company.
4. Join my Personal Mumble Server for these projects. ❤️

Connecting with an IP

If the IP you were given looks like 104.21.62.185:64738, then 104.21.62.185 is the IP, and 64738 is the Port.

1. Click Server, then Connect; OR click the Globe icon.
2. Click Add New.
3. In the Address box, type in the IP.
   • Don’t include the :, nor the Port.
4. In the Port box, type the Port.
   • In our example, it is 64738.
5. In the Username box, pick a name.
   • Try to make sure it’s unique, you’ll get an error later if it’s taken.
6. You can set a name for the server on your list by typing it in the Label box.
7. Click OK, then Connect.

Connecting to the Official OpenPA Server (free)

1. Click Server, then Connect; OR click the Globe icon.
2. Click Add New.
3. In the Address box, type in vc.blals.com.
4. In the Port box, leave it as 64738.
5. In the Username box, pick a name.
   • Try to make sure it’s unique, you’ll get an error later if it’s taken.
6. You can set a name for the server on your list by typing it in the Label box.
7. Click OK, then Connect.
